Austin, Texas.  You have to hand it to Maryann Price; not many could keep the performance schedule she does.   On the heels of her debut theatrical performance at Willie Nelson's Luck, Texas stage I sat down with  Maryann to discuss her upcoming return to the Victory Grill and South By Southwest, scheduled for  Saturday, March 20th.

We discussed her SXSW plans and I asked Price what we could expect this year.

She responded that she will delight her audience with selections of her personal favorites, all with that same stylistic touch we have come to know and love.  "This performance will include Marilyn Rucker on keyboards, bassist Tommy Clarkson, Kaz Kazanoff on Sax, with drummer Phillip Marshall."

Maryann moved on to talk about her performance as Kitty Wells and Patsy Montana in the Stage production "Hillbilly Heaven."  "The benefit musical, under the direction of Actor/Writer Joe Sears, (Pearl Production, Inc. and Gracey Rhodes Production, Inc. producers), was a huge success for CASA of Travis County," reported Price.  Her portrayal of the two female country greats illustrated the confidence, poise and stylistic range so evident on Price's recordings and live performances.  Price said, "The preparation leading up to the performance was such an enjoyable experience and really added to the final production!"

In addition to the upcoming release two CD's; "Spring Cleaning," a compilation of old favorites; and, "Jazzland," featuring some new original pieces, Price's popularity keeps her very busy with a variety of appearances this spring.  Don't miss her SXSW performance at the following location:
